Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited (UBE), along with management team and employees, organized an anti-corruption initiative to demonstrate its commitment to combating all forms of corruption on International Anti-Corruption Day, observed annually on December 9th. UBE remains dedicated to conducting business with strong corporate governance and upholding the principles of integrity, having been certified as a member of the Private Sector Collective Action against Corruption (CAC) for the second consecutive term.
Ms. Sureeyot Khowsurat, Chief Executive Officer of UBE, a fully integrated cassava producer and processor, emphasized UBE's commitment to instilling values and encouraging executives and employees to perform their duties with honesty, while remaining vigilant against all forms of corruption. To promote these principles in practice, the 'The Voice' project was launched as a platform for employees to report any wrongdoing within the organization (Whistleblowing), fostering a culture of accountability and readiness to address issues promptly. Additionally, UBE promotes a No Gift Policy, discouraging the exchange of gifts during festivals, and extends its corporate governance principles to all stakeholders. UBE remains steadfast in its dedication to operating under principles of good corporate governance, governance excellence, and social responsibility, aiming for sustainable growth through its UBEYOND business concept. The company aims to achieve a 5-star rating for corporate governance excellence by 2023 among listed companies.
