UBE GROUP is committed to supporting families by organizing a comprehensive rally to enhance knowledge before the new school term begins. Together with offering scholarships to employees' children, furthering our mission of sustainable human development
On April 27, Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries hosted the “UBE Care Family Day”, with volunteer employees coming together to support the families of their colleagues. Scholarships were awarded to children based on academic excellence, good behavior, and volunteerism. Additionally, a series of rally activities were organized under the UBEYOND concept, allowing employees to engage their children in educational activities designed to inspire future career aspirations.
Ms. Sureeyot Khowsurat, Chief Executive Officer of UBE said that;
“Through our ongoing UBE CARE campaign, we emphasize our commitment to social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and corporate governance. This year, we are intensifying our focus on the social dimension, particularly on supporting the family institution, which we believe is the cornerstone of our community. Every employee is a valued member of the UBE family, and we extend this care to their children, considering them integral members of our UBE family as well.
The UBE Care Family Day was organized with the goal of encouraging and inspiring employees to support their children's holistic development, encompassing psychological well-being, education, and quality of life. This initiative also aims to extend opportunities and inspire the children of our employees to strive for excellence and pursue higher education. By doing so, we prepare them to play a crucial role in driving the country's future success
Scholarships are awarded to employees' children as part of UBE's commitment to supporting our workforce, the core of our organization. This initiative provides appropriate welfare benefits and helps alleviate employees' financial burdens. Following principles of good corporate governance and a comprehensive sustainability strategy, scholarships are given to students who excel academically, from primary school through to bachelor's degree level. This year, 24 scholarships were awarded, and we plan to continue this program annually.
The event concluded with a rally activity that allowed employees' families and children to use their school break productively. Participants engaged in various activities, such as demonstrations on producing alcohol gel, creating tapioca starch/cassava flour, and making soil improvement materials from cassava waste. These activities combined education with enjoyment, providing new experiences beyond the classroom.
