UBE joins in continuing the tradition of merit-making and faith with the Candle Procession for Buddhist Lent in 2022, Ubon Ratchathani Province. After a hiatus of 2 years due to the COVID-19 situation, the event resumes amidst the easing of lockdown measures and the reopening of the city to tourism by the government sector. This year's event returns under the 'new normal' with the collaborative effort of Ubon Ratchathani's people, both public and private sectors. It aims to invite Thai nationals and foreigners alike to experience the splendid beauty of the traditional candle procession in Ubon Ratchathani province. The event is titled '121 Years of the People's Fai Dhamma: Beautiful Candle Festival,' held from July 11th to 17th, 2022, at Thung Si Mueang area and various temple communities across Ubon Ratchathani.

Ms. Sureeyot Khowsurat, CEO at UBE said that “I am deeply honored to contribute to the preservation and promotion of the annual Buddhist Lent candle procession tradition. This year, UBE has allocated a budget of 85,000 baht to support candle makers in Nayia District and Sawang Wirawong District, where our factories are located and skilled local technicians reside. This support is crucial for preserving and passing on this tradition to younger generations. In addition to our business objectives, UBE prioritizes community engagement through the CSV concept, aiming to foster mutual benefits such as employment opportunities, career advancement, local produce procurement, and cultural heritage conservation for sustainable growth. I cordially invite everyone to witness the beauty of the Candle Festival in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Whether you join us online or in person until July 17th, the festival promises a spectacular experience for all.”
